KOMANDIR is more than agentic command of DCS air defences. It's everything necessary to substantially overhaul the AI's behaviour in a way that delivers the most convincing simulation of red air-defence doctrine possible in DCS. Accomplishing that meant building several firsts for the genre.
KOMANDIR includes the most comprehensive early-warning radar simulation to date in a consumer flight simulator: 2D and 3D radars with height-finder emulation, an earth-curvature horizon set by real antenna mast heights, terrain masking, per-type radar cross-section with aspect-dependent returns and Swerling target fluctuation, scan-period and beam-resolution effects, phased-array dwell and sector limits, Doppler notch and ground clutter, MTI and raw video, fades, false tracks and bearing-only strobes, coasting and track-quality grading, and every site fused into a single command-post picture, built from research into Soviet air-defence command-and-control systems such as Vozdukh-1M, ASURK and Vektor. Alongside it: command and control datalink mechanics, custom IFF emulation, an AI friendly-fire system (yes, really), threat-axis and missile-coverage awareness, period Warsaw Pact rules of engagement, and much more.
Information has inertia, and command becomes legible to the player not just as actions but as reasoned decisions, auditable at a glance. The end result is astonishing. The theatre's air defences coordinate dynamically in a way that was previously only possible in highly scripted missions. KOMANDIR attaches to any running DCS mission through the standard mission-scripting interface and commands only the units you allow, so it coexists with your existing missions without ever breaking a pre-existing trigger or script. Just click and fly. You can find a comprehensive breakdown of the technologies in KOMANDIR here.
A comprehensive physics-based EW radar simulation. Early-warning radar, contact grouping, an IFF ladder with real code rotation.
Doctrinally grounded and based on real tactics: PVO rules of engagement, corridor compliance, Red doctrine as it was flown.
LLM makes well-reasoned decisions from the information it's given. The LLM remembers a history of past orders, and their outcomes...
Theatre-wide, in real time. A fast deterministic tick times every spring, snap-shot and corrective order. This layer catches hallucinations.
Includes walder's Skynet-IADS, adds custom engagement logic, and more
Fully custom GCI that integrates tactical aviation into the air-defence picture.
What the commander sees via the radar simulation, and what you see of the commander. Live tactical map, SAM engagement zones, airspace corridors, GCI tasking, the commander's intent and reasoning as it changes. Displayed on a vector scope with VP-11 symbology, or a modern LCD-style display.
The whole deterministic layer: coverage solving, launch cueing and auto-registration, on any DCS install. Requires scripting experience; no commander (LLM) included.
One-click install. The command console, the commanders, and integration with the simulator with no scripting required. Bundled with a starting allowance of hosted commander hours.
Access to the KOMANDIR commander model, served with low latency for the mission loop. Billed only when you fly.
The same weights on your own GPU through the KOMANDIR service, or a hardened self-hosted build for a squadron server that runs fully offline. Some set-up required; no usage limits, ever.
